Do you mean now, Before the first of the year? I don't know if seed companies would ship potato sets this early Call a few companies, such as Gurneys, and find out. But you can just use the potatoes from the grocery store in a pinch. Store them in a cool, dark place and by spring they will have a lot of sprouts on them. Some of these have been treated with a sprout inhibitor, but they still seem to sprout eventually. Better than nothing...

Try an organic food store or store-front food coop. The potatoes there won't have been sprayed, and they'll grow next year.
