Canonized Saint who was abused by parents?

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Catholic : One Thread

In a chat room, the statement was made that a child was canonized because of the suuferings he endured under his parents. Does any one know this saint?

Thank you in advance

A single does come to mind although bells do ring. WE are learning in time of many things our Saints suffered.

Nancy, do you have an idea of where or when did this happen? Knowing the country or the approximate date could help to find the informa- tion, do you happen to remember at least the family name?

Also of interest, although I don't know if she's been canonized.

Blessed Margaret has not yet been canonized, but I won't be suprised if she is canonized in our lifetime.

I saw an old movie about Bl. Margaret some time ago, although I can't recall the name of it. I had not heard of her prior to that. Those with disabilities / chronic suffering have a wealth of friends in the Church Triumphant. My favorites are her and < a href="http://www.catholic-forum.com/saints/saintg15.htm"> him.
