Does anyone know where to get a kit or plans for building a field camera that folds up? Similar to the Bender kits but not a monorail. Thanks

I'm not a proponent of doing this yourself, but if the urge is just too much to suppress, take a look at the construction article in the Nov./ Dec. 1996 issue of ViewCamera. When you're done reading that, read the very next article on testing your ground glass alignment. If you expect to get sharp results from a home-built camera, you will need to know how to test ground glass/film plane alignment.

You will find some useful links here: http://home.sol.no/~gjon/lffaq.htm James Vail has online plans, Doug Bardell will sell plans at a reasonable price. You find links to their web pages from the above URL. You will also find some links from this page: http://home.sol.no/~gjon/jgcam.htm
