Konica Hexanon AR

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Konica 35mm SLRs : One Thread

Here I am again, lusting for a longer lens. I only have the 28mm f/3.5 and the 50mm f/1.4 and would like a lens more suitable for taking pictures of my grandchildren without their reactions, taking good sunsets, etc.

Does anyone know of a reputable shop where I can locate any of these? I previously rejected a lens because of white "cobwebs" inside,which I was told by a knowledgeable photographer,was fungus. Hexanon AR 135mm f/2.5 Hexanon AR 135mm f/3.2 Varifocal Hexanon AR 35-100mm f/2.8 Zoom Hexanon AR 65-135mm f/4

Many thanks in advance for any input.

Mary: You could try http://www.cambridgeworld.com/konica_lenses.htm I bought an FT-1 from them about a month ago and was satified with it. Call the 800 number and make sure it is a "Hexanon" lens if that is what you want. Unfortunity the seller is in NY,NY and sounds like he mad at you for asking questions befor giving him your money. They can't help that, they are from NY.

good used Konica lenses

Mary;

I've used the 135mm Hexanon for a few years now and I think it's the ideal portrait lens. I picked mine up a few years ago at a local photo show in mint condition for a paltry $35 !!

I've recently done some internet shopping for Konica equipment and I purchased an FS-1 body with the 40 mm lens for a very good price at Koh's Camera on Long Island. They do mailorder, and I point them out as they (a) had the best price and (b) 'under-rated' the condition of the camera (meaning it was in much better shape than I expected) and didn't bother to tell me that the camera came with a 40 mm lens !(also in near mint condition !) If they hold true when pricing and rating lenses, I'd check with them from time to time what the have in stock.
