You cannot use the Bible Codes to predict the future. God does not like fortune-telling, per Old Testament.

However, you can look backwards and see that the codes included what has happened. NOW, one day we will look back and see that the codes had referred to a nuclear attack. This might be the one, who knows. We will know between the hours of 10AM central time, which is 6PM Jerusalem time on Dec 9th, 1999 and 10AM central time on Friday, 12/10/99, which is 6PM Jerusalem time. You must remember the Bible codes were found in the Old Testament which has always and will always run on Jerusalem time, a day being from 6PM to 6PM the next day.

I will have all my preps done by 10AM Thursday also. Why not?

God does not like fortune-telling that comes from prophets who do not acknowledge him truthfully. See Deut 18.

Bryan Huie wisely doesn't comment much on what he has found, but he does look for the key words. He was able to predict the date of Clinton's impeachment using the codes. Bryan has found another code for December 9 and 10th that indicates China will attack Taiwan. I believe this will happen in advance of the Russian attack on the U.S. perhaps because any EMP nuclear retaliation from the U.S. is likely to knock out Vladivostok, Russia's key Pacific Coast port. As for local time versus Jerusalem time, I believe both may be valid. The word for evening (erev) shows up 21 times in a Taiwan matrix found in Exodus 25 while the word for morning (bocher) doesn't appear at all. If the attacks come at local time in the evening, there may be a 12-16 hour separation. If you wake up to news that China has attacked Taiwan this Thursday, I would advise heading to the hills.

The Sun Tzu quote, is good advice, for anyone planning a military campaign. Unfortunately, it gets used all the time, in this "debate" in regards to whether the Russians are coming, as if it is an absolute rule. Sorry, sometimes a fool is just a fool and someone who appears weak, is just that.

Besides, even if Sun Tzu's words were an "absolute rule", it would appear that some have it backwards. The humongous show the Chinese put on of Military hardware a month ago, their boasts about longer range ICBMs and all the tough talk the Russians are doing, regarding Chechnya, are not the actions of someone trying to appear weak.

FWIW, I think the Russians and Chinese are putting on displays of strength (or at least attempting to do so), so that WE don't get any wise ideas, about trying to take them out, when THEY are down. Remember, the paranoia, between "us and them" works both ways.

I'm aware of all the crap we have pointed at each other...I'm also aware that the average person from any of the countries aren't afraid of the average person from the others....we all want the same things in reality. All nuclear weapons have been removed from our surface navy, and the ones in europe have bee de-triggered and are being shipped home as we speak.China is going balls to the wall to be able oto invade Taiwan before the rollover, and Russia is blasting itself a corridor to the Caspian oilfields so they will have enough fuel to sustain a war. We just gave away the Panama canal and half our navy is now cut off from making any kind of timely response in the Pacific . Who now controls the canal? The Russians have been digging like madmen to complete their massive shelters in the Ural mountains, an example being followed by both China and North Korea. We're in deep do do here man. these people have looked at post y2k scenarios and they decided they will not crumble away in silence, and they're putting their money where their missiles are. With Y2K, even though man has done a lot to reduce the problem, the outcome is still dependent on MACHINES to a large degree. The outcome of our conflicts in this world are entirely dependent on HUMANS, and unlike some others, I have faith in the God that is within us. Meanwhile, financial aid for them is being withheld by IMF, which won't leave them in a humourous mood. I am called to help people understand the nature and character of the God of the Bible....the God of Abraham, Job, Moses, Jacob, the Prophets, Jesus and the Apostles. The God you worship and serve is not their God but a God of your own making.

You charge me with "advocating our self-destruction". When is the last time you read the Bible?

First of all, I take Ezekiel 33:6-9 seriously. A watchman on the wall is called to give people warning when he sees danger coming. To fail to do so would leave your blood on my shoulders. I am guiltless on this forum, in my church and among my neighbors and friends, and of your blood my friend, because I have sounded the warning of approaching danger. How you or anyone else responds to the warning is not my responsibility. But I'll tell you this much. I have often wept like Jesus did who, on Palm Sunday, wept before entering Jerusalem. He foresaw terrible destruction for His people. He said, "If you had only known the things that make for peace, but you would not. Now your enemies shall put up a hedge against you and not one stone shall be left upon the other." In AD 70, Jesus' words were fulfilled. I see the same for this nation unless she repents.

Before they put Jesus to death He told His disciples that before God finally appears to put an end to the evil in this world and bring the world we all want to live in, a world of love and peace, there would be wars and rumors of wars up until the end. Sounds like another fulfilled prophecy to me. Matthew 24. So why should anyone be surprised that America could find herself in a war? She has already been in two major wars this century and others like Korea and Viet Nam. Whe is it so strange to think that she could end up in another war? She certainly has enemies. The weapons of war are certainly there.

Read 2Peter 3 concerning the end of this world. Read Revelation. Then go back into the OT and follow the pattern of God's dealing with sinners and nations. God's judgments fell on Noah's world, Lot's city, Israel's enemies, Egypt, and remember mighty Babylon. The book of Daniel clearly reveals God as One who judges. Daniel means "God is Judge". Read Daniel 5. Through Daniel God foretold the destruction of Babylon. It sounds an awful lot like a picture of what is about to happen now. Revelation builds on the theme of judgment in Daniel and uses the destruction of Babylon as a symbol of the doom to come.

Read Jonah. God told him to tell Ninevah that if they didn't repent He would destroy them. Is that a true story or not?

Probably the two prophets that I identify with most are Isaiah and Jeremiah. They both foretold doom for Israel. Nobody listened, nobody repented. In Jeremiah's case, he was opposed by false prophets who amazingly sounded just like you Hawk. Go read what Hananiah said regarding Jeremiah's warnings. He called Jeremiah a false prophet, and that the people should expect only peace. He not only lied about God but soon died as a sign that Jeremiah's message was the true message.

I could go on but I want to say this. The God of the Bible is love. He only desires our peace and well-being. "Oh, that you had hearkened unto my commandments your peace would have been like a river." But God's love is not some flabby, soft, look the other way kind of love you propose. God loves so much, He hates the evil and wickedness that hinders love and peace and joy from reigning on this earth. He loves so much, He promises to remove it once and for all. He loves so much, He warns nations to repent of their evil or face the consequences.

Didn't your parents ever spank you or punish you? They did so, because they loved you (unless they were abusive). America needs to be disciplined, chastised, for she has gone wayward, and fallen into idolatry (coveteousness) and immorality.

"The wrath of God is being reavealed against all ungodliness and unrighteousness." Romans 1:18-32. Read it and weep. When we understand that God's wrath and judgments are necessary forms of love, then we are close to understanding the nature and character of the only true God, the God of the Bible.

In regards to America being threatened with attack and war. The facts are indisputable. Russia and China are mobilizing for war. The only question is when. I don't have a crystal ball. I don't describe to the Bible codes. I don't and never have made a pronouncement that Russia would attack before the rollover. I have only said Y2K presents America's enemies with the perfect opportunity for an attack.

Much prayer has ascended to God to stay His hand of judgment on this nation. Time will only tell what affect it has had. I pray to God judgment would be delayed a little while longer, like Hezekiah did by his faithful prayers in Isaiah 36-39.

God in His love will do the right thing. Are you in the ark? Are you trusting in the blood on the doorpost of your life? Jesus is the only way to avert the coming judgments of God. Turn to Him and be ye saved all the ends of the earth. "For God has fixed a day when He will judge the world through His anointed servant Jesus Christ. Therefore, He commands people everywhere to repent and believe the gospel."

Peace2u my friend. It is available by asking Jesus to be your Savior. Trusting in anything or anybody other than Jesus is an offense to God.nOnly Jesus is the Way, the Truth and the Life. "No one comes unto the Father except through Him. John 14:6. He said, "Unless you believe in Me, you will die in your sins." John 8:24. Apart from Jesus there is only restlessness, anxiousness, fear, and a foreboding of the future. There is no hope or joy apart from Him. "If you believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead and confess Jesus as Lord with your mouth, you shall be saved. " Romans 10:13.

No religious ideas here, but based on recently observed facts. Yes I do believe that there will be global thermonuclear war- most probably at the end of December, not necessarily having anything to do with Y2K. There will be no warning. The Russians will probably launch first ( and have mutual defense pacts with the Chinese.) Large EMP weapons will explode high over the US, interfering with all but the most hardened targets. Within twenty minutes, SLBMs will explode on major command and control centers. Within the next hour, bombers and ICBMs will deliver their warheads. There will be some cities targetted with up to 60 nuclear weapons. We'll never know whether the US launched a retaliatory strike or not, and it won't really matter.( W/O human intervention our GWEN systems can communicate among the forces to launch the remaining missiles.) Most people will have a few minutes of being aware that things like cars and TV's stop working. They'll assume a power outage of some kind. Folks,

We're not talking Bible here, we're talking Bible Code. Again, many folks think you cannot predict the future with Bible Codes. If Thursday and Friday come and go and NO war, then you can assume one of two things.

1) Bible Codes cannot predict the future, only provide a record of what happened. READ AND UNDERSTAND WHAT I JUST SAID!!!!!!

2) Prayer can change the mind of God.

However, if in Holy Scripture it states that on December 9-10 there would be nuclear war, then there would be a 100% chance of nuclear war, period.

If it's in the Bible Codes, no one knows. We will see soon.

I believe what you are looking for is www.nationaleagle.org. I too have looked and have done some research on this possibility of a surprise attack by russia/china. Due to the current events taking place, I would say that it will likely happen, thats only if god allows.The bible codes have given great historical data on past events.I believe that something is gearing up to happen, something significant besides y2k.We'll just have to wait and see.

Since my Bible code findings regarding December 9-10 appear to be the cause of a lot of discussion here, I thought I would stop in a give my perspective of what happened (and didn't happen). Using the Bible codes to predict future events is very difficult, and it's certainly not an exact science. Much of the interpretation is guesswork based on the interpretator's view of how the words and phrases fit together.

Based on my Bible code findings regarding 1 Tevet (Dec. 9-10), I initially thought that nuclear destruction would come upon the US by Russia/China on this date. However, the Lord confirmed to me last night that these codes do not represent the actual date of the attack, but instead they reference what occurred during the meetings between Russian President Yeltsin and Chinese President Zemin in Beijing on Dec. 9th-10th.

Regarding President Clinton's recent condemnation of Russia's military activities in Chechnya, Yeltsin said during a press conference in Beijing, "Bill Clinton permitted himself yesterday to forget by a second, by a minute, by half-a-minute what Russia means and that Russia has a complete arsenal of nuclear weapons. We shall dictate the world how to live rather than Mr. Clinton alone."

I believe that the codes purpose was to show that these high level meetings were held to finalize the agreement to launch nuclear attacks on the USA and her allies (e.g., Taiwan). But I don't know when those attacks are going to occur. However, logic seems to dictate that they will almost certainly happen before December 31, 1999.

As supporting evidence, I refer you to the AP story on the meetings below, as well as a 1996 prophecy by Dimitru Duduman.

Yeltsin Lashes Out At Clinton

BEIJING (AP) - Boris Yeltsin lashed out at President Clinton on Thursday for criticizing Russia's war in Chechnya, bluntly reminding Clinton that Russia emains a nuclear power.

"It seems Mr. Clinton has forgotten Russia is a great power that possesses a nuclear arsenal. We aren't afraid at all of Clinton's anti-Russian position," Yeltsin said at a meeting with Chinese legislative chairman Li Peng.

"I want to tell President Clinton that he alone cannot dictate how the world should live, work and play. It is us who will dictate."

Yeltsin's outburst, delivered in front of reporters, came after he secured Chinese backing for Russia's campaign to crush separatists in Chechnya.

Clinton, meanwhile, did not back off his criticism of the Russian offensive, which has produced large numbers of civilian casualties and driven more than 240,000 civilians out of Chechnya.

"I don't agree with what's going on there, and I think I have an obligation to say so," Clinton told reporters in Washington. He sought, however, to avoid a war of words with Yeltsin, saying, "I mean, we can't get too serious about - let's not talk about what the leaders are saying and all these words of criticism."

Both Chinese President Jiang Zemin and Li, No. 2 in the ruling Communist Party, welcomed Yeltsin to Beijing with bear hugs. Jiang, who studied car production in Moscow 44 years ago, greeted Yeltsin in Russian, calling him "old friend."

"Jiang Zemin completely understands and fully supports Russia's actions in combatting terrorism and extremism in Chechnya," Russian Foreign Minister Igor Ivanov told reporters after the first of three presidential meetings scheduled during Yeltsin's 30-hour visit.

Underlining the informal nature of their summit, Jiang and Yeltsin took a brief stroll hand-in-hand Friday in the ornately landscaped grounds of the state guest house where Yeltsin was staying. The two leaders commented on some calligraphy atop a gate and on the windy weather.

Chinese backing for its war in Chechnya was a crucial goal of Yeltsin's trip. The Chechen campaign has drawn heavy criticism from the United States, and European nations, but appears to be pushing China and Russia closer together.

With restive minorities of its own in Tibet and the Muslim northwest, China says Russia should deal with Chechnya as it sees fit. Chinese Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Zhang Qiyue repeated Thursday that Chechnya is Russia's internal affair.

"The Chinese side understands and supports the efforts made by Russia in safeguarding national unity and territorial integrity," she told reporters.

Russia "has tried to avoid civilian losses," she added.

Yeltsin came to Beijing just three days after leaving a hospital where he was treated for pneumonia. He looked pale on arrival in Beijing, leaning heavily on the rails of the stairs while leaving his plane, and stiff when meeting Jiang.

"We all begged him not to go, and we all begged him not to leave the hospital so soon and go to work. Well, you know it is useless to ask, it is his style of work all his life," Yeltsin's wife Naina said in remarks on Russian television.

"Probably it is already impossible to change him."

Perhaps out of concern for his health, Yeltsin's meetings with Jiang, Li and Chinese Premier Zhu Rongji took place within the secluded grounds of the state guest house.

After their meeting, Jiang and Yeltsin watched as their foreign ministers signed three accords defining the countries' 2,630-mile border and joint use of disputed islands.

Yeltsin and Jiang initiated annual summit meetings in 1996 to draw the fierce Cold War rivals closer and build a strategic partnership. Both leaders have found their relationship a useful counter to Washington's predominance in world affairs, although Russia and China both need U.S. support for their economies.

Yeltsin and Jiang both agreed that there should not be "one country dominating the world," Chinese Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Zhang said. "World affairs should be determined by all countries in the world."

Aside from their common perception that the United States plays too dominant a role in the world, Russia and China are also joined in opposition to U.S. research into systems to shoot down incoming missiles.

After Yeltsin's meeting with Li, Ivanov said the two sides agreed that non-proliferation treaties and the global strategic balance must be safeguarded.

I prayed, then went to bed. I was still awake, when suddenly I heard a trumpet sound. A voice cried out to me, "Stand!"

In my vision, I was in America. I walked out out of home, and began to look for the one who had spoken to me. As I looked, I saw three men dressed alike. Two of the men carried weapons. One of the armed men came to me. "I woke you to show you what is to come," he said. "Come with me."

I didn't know where I was being taken, but when we reached a certain place he said, "Stop here!"

A pair of binoculars was handed to me, and I was told to look through them.

"Stand there, don't move, and look," he continued. "You will see what they are saying, and what they are preparing for America."

As I was looking, I saw a great light. A dark cloud appeared over it. I saw the president of Russia, a short, chubby man, who said he was the president of China, and two others. The last two also said where they were from, but I did not understand. However, I gathered they were part of Russian controlled territory. The men stepped out of the cloud.

The Russian president began to speak to the Chinese one. "I will give you the land with all the people, but you must free Taiwan of the Americans. Do not fear, we will attack them from behind."

A voice said to me, "Watch where the Russians penetrate America." Then I saw these words being written: Alaska, Minnesota, Florida.

Then the man spoke again," When America goes to war with China, the Russians will strike without warning."

The other two presidents spoke, "We, too, will fight for you." Each had a place already planned as a point of attack. All of them shook hands and hugged. Then they all signed a contract. One of them said, "We're sure that Korea and Cuba will be on our side, too. Without a doubt, together, we can destroy America."

The president of Russia began to speak insistently, "Why let ourselves be led by the Americans? Why not rule the world ourselves? They have to be kicked out of Europe, too! Then I could do as I please with Europe!"

The man standing beside me said, "This is what you saw: they act as friends, and say they respect the treaties made together. But everything I've shown you is how it will REALLY happen. You must tell them what is being planned against America. Then, when it comes to pass, the people will remember the words the Lord has spoken."

"Who are you?" I asked.

"I am the protector of America. America's sin has reached God. He will allow this destruction, for He can no longer stand such wickedness. God, however, still has people that worship Him with a clean heart as they do His work. He has prepared a heavenly army to save these people."

As I looked, a great army,well armed and dressed in white, appeared before me. "Do you see that?" the man asked. "This army will go to battle to save My chosen ones. Then, the difference between the Godly and the ungodly will be evident.

Lol, Robert, glad to see ya still got your humor going on.....Guess we can safely say for today, all is well. This whole site is becoming a den of 'fear'. Alot of OT statements which cause folks to be afraid. I guess as the year draws to an end folks wonder. The russia thing is scarey, hey did ya all see Yeltsin falling (literally) all over the chinese guy? Was he drunk? Inquiring minds gotta know. My faith is in God, I've prepared and done what I can and as for the nuclear stuff, chemical plants blowing up, etc...I just leave it all in His hands...If I get blown up so what? I cant change it.
