Marching Bands

Has anyone got good info on marching bands aborting their commitments to Bowl games. I heard something about 3 bands going to be "No-shows". Seems parents don't want their kids a thousand miles away, just in case Y2K turns out to be more than a BITR.

Band Master:

I'm sure someone will post a link for you. I just wanted to add that I was watching ABC News tonight and they were doing a report on Y2K. ABC is saying that a large majority of the big parties, concerts and even cruises are being canceled due to lack of ticket sales and lack of interest. BUT, this is in no way related to Y2K fears. No no no.

ABC reports that the reason for these "lacks" are due to high prices. Not because of Y2K.

ABC reports that people just want to stay at home with family and friends to ring in the new millenium. Not becasue of Y2K.

ABC reports that people believe this to be a holy event and just want to be home for such an occasion. Not because of Y2K.

ABC reports everything is A.O.K

And a friend of mine was just suprised to get an extremely cheap quote on airfares around new years. The seat was take-off only.
