NPR Snubs Y2K

greenspun.com : LUSENET : TimeBomb 2000 (Y2000) : One Thread

This morning, NPR had a rather lengthy piece on millennium jitters, or what's worrying people most about the CDC. Things mentioned included:

--dingdongs on the Art Bell show

--religious zealots predicting end of the world scenarios

--disaster movies and songs

--natural disasters

But not one mention of Y2K.

Sure glad it's been fixed...now I can trade my dried beans for beanie babies.

That's funny, last week on NPR I heard a group discussing the WTO protests in Seattle. One of the guests said that it was interesting to see how the police handled the riots in light of the potential upcoming Y2K disruptions.
