Does anyone have a web address for a site that sells ONLY bullet-proof vests of good quality?

Liz, It is against the law for a citizen to own a bullet proof vest. I didn't know this was true but it is. Maybe someone on the forum has another way to get these.

Good Luck

yeah and its against the law to own a handgun in my town too. doesn't stop people from buying them. and it won't stop you from buying a vest:

FOX, depends on the area, regardless in ANY area it is against the law to wear a vest AND commit a felony. Vests are quite common in major cities for civilians (that is they do own them) so its not automatically against the law.

It's a little late to reconsider location, but you may also want to avoid any area where you need one!

www.BulletProofME.com

There are a few states that prohibit possession of body armor by a felon, but in general it is entirely legal (not to mention prudent!) for a law-abiding citizen to own body armor.

We offer concealable Level II protection for under $300, up to Level III and IV rifle plates in tactical vests.

Perhaps FOX is from a country other than the US of A? I'm sure the patricians don't want the plebians to have body armor.

P.S. Bullet proof? Hardly. Bullet resistant? Definately. Different levels of protection stop different levels of bullets. The big (in diam.) and slow bullets are actually easier to stop than small and fast. Think energy/area. You will feel getting hit! But blunt tramua is easier to heal then a hole.
