Y2K on TV tonite - Profiler?greenspun.com : LUSENET : TimeBomb 2000 (Y2000) : One Thread |
I saw a commercial and I think the show was Profiler on NBC, 7:00 Central, 9:00 Pacific time. Something to do with Y2K and a killer I think. They are undoubtedly going to characterize the killer as a Y2K doomer, but thought it might be interesting. Let's try to keep all comments about the show on this thread.

Sorry guys, musta been the wrong show, nothing about Y2K. I know I heard it on a commercial, maybe it was Pretender.

Neither one...haven't watched the tube for about 3 months or so....but started keeping an eye on the 'Newz'...Pretender had to do with a kid lost in a plane crash and Profiller was about a serial killer who used the net to find his vixtims...nothin' bout Doomers tho...

Thanks for that info Satanta, something weird is going on. I know I heard Y2K on the preview for those shows tonight. I guess that shows how the television networks view people who are getting ready for Y2K. Anytime someone uses the Internet to kill people, it falls into the category of "Y2K."

Oh yeah, Profiler leads the media in a new search for the lowest possible slam at Y2K preppers. Nutz, kooks and plain religious wackos ain't enough, we gotta be tagged as being psychokillers now.I wonder if next week's episode will feature a Y2K child sexual abuser? Then Klintoon and Janet could have a tried and true reason to kick doors in on all of us. I mean the networks say these shows do reflect the reality of life in America today, don't they?
Who are the scriptwriters for this crap, CPR and Poole?
