Virgin of Guadalupe

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Catholic : One Thread

Today troughout Latin America, especially in Mexico, and in some parts of the United States and Philippines, catholics are joyfully celebrating the feast of Our Lady of Guadalupe. CONGRATULATIONS!!!! A propos, I believe in Mary of Nazareth, Mother of Christ and Mother of christians, and it is a cause of joy for me that She decides to appear in different dresses and with different messages (Lourdes, Fatima, etc.) but I especially like Her interest in the poor in Latin America.

Thank you, Blessed Mother.

Enrique tians, and I am happy

Our Lady of Guadalupe is very special to this gringo! While visiting Mexico City in 1984, I decided to find the shrine. My husband and I rode the subway there. I will always remember the beautiful and humble Mexican poor "walking" on their knees to the church! They taught me what it is to really love and they truely love their spiritual Mother.

Shortly after that visit to the shrine, both my husband and I began our process of returning to the Catholic faith. I believe it was Our Lady of Guadalupe who inspired our return and finally total conversion.

Hope, many people have had experiences similar to yours, while visiting the Shrine of Guadalupe. I am glad that you and your husband are back in the fold. Double congratulations ON YOUR RETURN AND ON THE NEW YEAR.
