PC Software for quick photo printing?

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Imaging Resource Discussion : One Thread

Hi all!

Have just started using my Nikon Coolpix 800, and wondering how to get the photos printed quickly and efficiently. What I am looking for is a piece of software that allows me to take the JPG images off my PC harddisk and dump them into the software, automatically scales them down to fit two or four images on one A4 or Letter size sheet, and prints them at photo quality on my Epson Stylus Photo EX without manual intervention other than clicking "print". NikonView, which comes with the camera, seems to attempt something however it prints in draft mode and does not seem to understand paper sizes. I do not need to edit the pictures (as I will have done that beforehand if necessary), just print them without the hassle of resizing and fitting. Any ideas (commercial software or shareware)? Many thanks in advance! Cheers, George

Theyre a few inexpensive software packages out there that will do what you want. Check out Qimage Pro, http://www.charm.net/~mchaney/imaging/index.html I find this works very well, and all upgrades are free for life. You can also check out this site for reviews on Qimage and others. Just scroll down to printing. http://www.quiknet.com/~frcn/Camera.html
