greenspun.com : LUSENET : Southern Railway : One Thread

Just saw Buster Keaton movie (silent) Stemboat Bill Jr. (1927) there was a 4-4-0 engine leter SOUTHERN RAILWAY and indeed the shot might have been in the South. Looked like to was levee side!

Was this a SRY engine and passenger train? Is this one of the dirst movies of SRY equipment? Engine #? Location?

And finally, there were some interesting old animal cars?

Facinating!
