Busy day in Washington, DC. woke up to a clear blue sky but it didn't take long to obliterate it with WHAT LOOKS LIKE CIRRUS CLOUDS because there were at least four planes creating line after line of heavy contrails that blended to create a large cloud cover.

Of course there was commercial jet traffic which laid very short ones that quickly disappeared but there were so many of THESE BABIES (they sprayed four at a time in a fan pattern orginating from what looked like a single Northeast Maryland direction???? what's up there???? the origination of the trails was very obvious, i just didn't have time to follow it.

WELL AS IF WE DON'T HAVE ENOUGH TO THINK ABOUT.

Answers

Yesterday the pristine skies of York County, South Carolina (just south of Charlotte, NC) were criss-crossed by what appeared to be five planes. The pattern left appeared to be almost like the spokes of a wagon wheel. Very strange.

These were definitely not the regularly scheduled flights into Charlotte-Douglas Airport that I'm familiar with. In fact, the routine flights were clearly visible at the same time the strange contrail patterns were being laid down.

I've never posted before, but I'm a long-time lurker. I hate to jump in at this late date with something as OT (??) as this, but you don't believe something until you see it with your own eyes. Take it FWIW, but I know what I saw.

While I'm posting, thank you all so much for the information, support, encouragement and counsel you've given through this forum. You have no idea how much I've come to love and enjoy you all. God bless you and those you love and may we some day meet on the other side!

December 26, spraying all over the Dallas/Ft. Worth area. I noticed whenever they do it, it covers the entire urban and suburban area. They started very early am and finished around 10:30 am. Saw the last ones being done and grabbed my dad to rush him outside to see. He had called me delusional before. We got binoculars and he admittted it was coming from the tails of the planes and not the wings (where the engines are). After a while he just grimaced and said "Humph." I said, "So, what are they? Or am I still delusional?" He admitted he had no idea what that was and that it certainly wasn't normal commercial traffic coming in and out of DFW. We noticed the planes had no markings except orange-ish paint on the back tail wing things. My bro got a new digital camera for Christmas and we asked him to take some pictures but he refused. Was too busy taking pictures of his damn fish tank. Sheesh.

My dad was blown away by how we woke up to a perfectly cloudless sky and once they were done, you couldn't see the sun. Almost couldn't see a patch of blue. We WATCHED them turn into these really big puffy clouds. And has anyone ever noticed after a while, they turn into a big misty gray mass of clouds?

I have decided there is no way I can find out what these are. You can't chase the planes by car, for crying out loud, and I don't happen to have a private jet. Though, I do have some friends who fly in and out of a little municipal airport in Addison. Still, those are little puddle-jumpers and if these jets are coming from some remote location in Nevada, as someone suggested, the little crop- duster would run out of fuel before it got there. That would be IF I could persuade a pilot/owner to chase one.

Now, I don't know what drives people like yourself into such a frenzy of insulting vulgarities and obscenities when faced with an increasing number of eye witnesses. Just because you haven't seen it cannot exist? Is that logical? Perhaps it's fear of the unknown. I can only guess as to what might be your irrational motivation. I will further speculate and say that were this not an anonymous medium and you were to actually have to face us and have to deal the consequences of your attitude, you would probably change your modus operandi.

In answer to the query about whether "they" are "doing it" over rural areas: Yes. They are. I've been witnessing this phenomenon for ten or fifteen years.

I was fortunate enought to be able to drive from here (Southwest Oregon) to Longview Washington to visit my kids and grandkids. I was able to observe these "chemtrails" all the way up and partways back, due to a rare weather phenomenon--it was CLEAR for once, all the way, except the first three or four miles. Too dark to see anything on the way home last night, though.

The highway (I 5) weaves around, so I couldn't see any jets at all part of the time, but for what it's worth, there were "chemtrails", five to eight of them, almost everywhere I was able to see jets. The jets were all flying from north to south, making more or less parallel lines. The jets were coming once every five to ten minutes, I'd say. Trails were drifting from west to east.

I need to point out, however, that seeing these trails, and acknowledging that they exist, does NOT mean that there is a plot to either poison us, nor to innoculate us, nor to give us "flu-like symptoms". In my opinion, a less paranoid explanation is much more credible. The stratosphere may be becomming saturated with water vapor from too many aircraft burning hydrocarbon fuels over too short a period of time.

Perhaps there is another reason these trails are appearing so frequently. But until I see some real evidence that there is something besides normal jet exhaust coming out of these jets, I will continue to be very skeptical of these highly emotionalized "explanations".

Chairman "Kruschev", I can't seem to find the post by "all she wrote", but I suspect you would consider me "another brick in the wall", as well as him/her. But you could be labelled the same way, as you are certainly buying into this totally unfounded bit of paranoia.

Your assertion that "all threats must be honored, even if improbable" is a sure recipe for not only paranoia, but lots of unnecessary stress, as well, which is showing itself in your post.

Should I honor the threat of "hurricanes being possible (although improbable" because the trees were waving back and forth during my drive down I-5 last night? I don't think so. Unfortunately, once a ridiculous conclusion has been reached, and repeated by enough folks, some of you begin to think that these types of "threats" are real enough, likely enough, to be given serious consideration.

Next time you hear some Chicken Little dashing about screaming about "chemtrails" (or hurricanes caused by trees waving about), please tell them to give you at least a modicum of proof before you start believing their unfounded bunk.

It's been pointed out that lots of folks who have real concerns about y2k are in an analogous situation to the one I am describing here. I agree that SOME of them are. The ones who parrot all the unfounded fear spread around by some of the more extreme radicals (Gary North comes to mind here) DO need to rethink their positions. But there are also many, many folks who have made conclusions about y2k based on lots of actual research, and have lots of data to support their conclusions.

So far, at least, I have seen NO realistic appraisal of what is causing these "chemtrails", nor any data showing what, if anything, is falling on us from these alleged spray planes.

Give me some data! Convince me that you have some REAL reasons to believe in this conspiracy.

At LEAST tell me what I'm being sprayed with, man!

AL K. I would hope that during your liesurely drive through the swaying trees you were exercising enough situational awareness to note whether the tree were being ripped out of the ground. Or had happened to glance at the television at least long enough during the week to note no hurricanes were in your immediate vicinuty. If you can't do any better than that why bother?

Each of us has the inborn ability to differentiate between what is and isnot a threat on a personal level at any given moment in our immediate area. If you've ever done any deer hunting you see this ability, and its limitations, displayed by deer all the time. A deer, being an unthinking creature of instintive response, operates on max security level to any movement within what he construes as striking distance of his current location. Unfortunately they lack the ability of abstract thought, and simply cannot concieve that a hunter 400 yards away is an immediate threat. Now if another deer which had seen his brethern shot and killed at that range could communicate the knowlege to him he would be a little safer, but then he is faced with the problem that he can't identify WHICH of the 400 yrard distant people are hunters, and which ones are nature walkers. That is our current situation. I have personally killed a buck at over 500 yards using a .270 bolt action, and surprisingly it was not the first shot which got him, but the third. He stood there and let two bullets whistle past his head without moving because he lacked the ability to even admit he was in danger at that range. I don't lack that ability. You may get one shot at me while I try to discern your intentions, but I'll be moving and shooting back before you get another.

Now I don't know if there is anything to these contrail reports or not. Personally I rather doubt there is. But I do have the God given ability to recognize the possibility that something is going on, and if it is I need to have that information. It may well prove to be a matter of life and death in MY immediate future, even though it is 400 yards away at the moment. All I am saying is let these people continue their research in peace, it isn't going to hurt any of us and it may well help us.

In response to spraying over rural areas, a definite yes here in Kincheloe, Michigan (edge of Canadian border) population about 3,000. They have been at it for months now, and as usual, only some of us notice it. I work at a medical office and have seen a rash of unexplained respiratory/viral/flu like illness. Closest large town is Sault Ste. Marie, MI, population approx. 35,000. Some days I have seen as many as 6-8 planes doing "corn rows" and X's, and we don't even have a large airport for miles, so where is this air traffic coming from?

I am new to this - just found this site yesterday. So I feel pretty "behind" but believe I've read just about everything here at this posting. I am in Mo. Ozarks and those "whatever-they-are" trails are definitely here. There were a lot yesterday. I took pix two different times within last month to month and a half - to show to those who think I'M crazy. Doesn't a regular jet trail (you know - VAPOR) disappear fairly quickly?? Why is it these stay in the sky for hours - ever expanding. How is it this "vapor" gets wider and wider and then "wisps" of it blow out from this ever-expanding and once "skinny" trail? How is it that you can watch a plane with the trail behind it - then all of a sudden it's "turned off" for a space in the sky - then back on - WOW - how do they do that ALK?? And how is it that sometimes they appear to be "snaky" for just a little ways? Then after being in the sky several hours - I also have noticed that these once white "clouds" turn dark gray. Haven't we all been watching jet trails all our lives? Some of us are what others would consider "old" and haven't seen anything like this. And those wagon wheels .... yes, here too. And MANY folks here are having major respiratory and bronchial problems that they can't get rid of - may be connected - may not. I'm one of those who doesn't always listen to or read a lot of news - what does the media (cough, choke) have to say - or what does ANYONE have to say about why this is happening and how are they trying to "explain it away"? On the other hand, I agree it's smart to be prepared, and even somewhat cautious, when there is something to be cautious ABOUT.

You suggest that I "let these people continue their research in peace,..." Excellent idea. When are they going to start? All I've heard so far is a bunch of bull. There are so many people who are so damned SURE that there is this big conspiracy. But no data. No reality. Several people have said they were going to take samples of this stuff which has allegedly coated their cars, lawns, Volvos, etc. I've yet to hear of anyone's doing so, however.

If you think trying to hit the four inch circle of an East Texas whitetails neck at 500 plus yards at dusk dark, OFFHAND, in 20 degree temperatures and a ten mile per hour crosswind is so simple, I will shell out another 1000 dollars to see you do that one on the first shot. But first we have to walk a mile so your wind will be just right when you do it. I have found very few people who can hit a target that size with a full box of ammunition off a benchrest at half the range. Talk is cheap.

Robert Cook PE, I agree with you, insofar as not expecting answers from the government. But I personally don't think that these "chemtrails" are what you guys seem to think. It's not LOGICAL. They've been appearing over my house for ten to fifteen years. I could find out when I first started seeing them, with a bit of research. There were articles in the local paper; it was when the flight path for what was supposedly the Seattle to San Francisc commercial flights were relocated. Before that, they flew many miles to my east. After that, they began flying more or less directly over my house.

My point is, why would the military, or anyone else, need to spray us with something OVER AND OVER AND OVER for years, YEARS, YEARS? And why would they need to spray these "chemtrails" over hundreds of miles of mostly rural land?

Sure, there are weird looking jet trails. I am the first to admit it. I had concerns when I first saw them, still do. But I do not believe that the explanation lies in a conspiracy to spray us. I personally believe it's a sign of some environmental problems taking place in our atmosphere. However, I am not going to say that I KNOW that it is an environmental problem in our atmosphere.

The problem, as I have said again and again, is there are no data to back up these wild claims. Where are the samples you chemtrail paranoiacs keep promising? Where are the militarry personell who are blowing the whistle? (I can't believe that there is poison gas, or anthrax or whatever being sprayed ALL OVER the country, day in day out, year in year out, without a jillion pilots, mechanics, navigators, suppliers, SOMEBODY letting the cat out of the bag. That is too much to believe.

Tell me you don't believe it.

Like I said in an earlier post re chemtrails, it doesn't really matter who believes that they exist, that they are NOT normal contrails: we all breath the same air. We've seen them here in sparsely populated No. Wisc. and have suffered the long, drawn-out respitory ailments. My son lives in Santa Cruz and has been watching the closely woven grid pattern being produced there.
