Actually, they are correct. It is a century issue, since if computers had been invented in the 1800s, the same issue would be arising at the turn of 1900. It's not a millenium issue per se, except that the end of the present century is coincidentally the end of a millenium.

Jennifer Flowers of Gov.Action 2000 when asked for a quote replied in a huff, that it was hardly warranted the publicity since it was such a small glitch.I don't expect 20,000 cardholders thought so.Spokesman for the Banking industry said it has arisen because of a small piece of unremediated software & added that "it" would go away of its accordon accord come 1st Jan.
