SYSSOPS NOTE: Y2K PRO AND OTHER DISRUPTERS ABOUND TODAY

greenspun.com : LUSENET : TimeBomb 2000 (Y2000) Rollover/Back-Up Forum : One Thread

Good friends, I know you are probably beside yourselves with the problems on this board today, and with your own last-minute preps, but I hope that you will monitor these offenders and keep what we have left in these last two days of the year.

I never understood kids who performed vandalistic acts when I was a kid, and never understood graffitti nuts messing up their own society. I will never understand the sick mentality that insists upon disrupting the lives of others. Guess it's those same kids who never outgrew their inner rage and atavism. (Unless its paid shills who are here for a purpose?)

Wow. Just quick note seconding that notion. Of course, there are extreme opinions at the margins (of anything). . . but I don't understand folks (like Y2K PRO and LL) who have the audacity to question the fairness and compassion of others and then wantonly engage in uncompassionate and destructive behavior themselves. Truly troubling

Maybe this 'archiving' 'bot was an attack by whoever was behind all the recent flaming.

Folks, it's just words on a screen, that's all. It's an electronic doohickey that glows and beeps and blinks at you. Certainly it is'nt worth raising your bloodpressure over, just because some of those glowing pixels say nasty or insulting things. If we don't expect to get our chains yanked, why log on at all?
