TB200 DOWN AGAIN!!!

greenspun.com : LUSENET : HumptyDumptyY2K : One Thread

Well, someone played what they must have thought was a good joke and put Phillip's message on all the posts. I, personally, am sick and tired of all these childish antics. Some of us truly enjoy the posts and don't appreciate the inconsiderate morons who want to sabotage the forum.

Was it hacked, or is Phil getting tired?

Prior to the rollover thread, and then after we had agreed that if MIT goes down, or let's say, Phil stops all Y2K threads, we can go over to OneLIST. You need to sign up, but you get confirmation right away so that you can post. This is not an MIT server and the forum is already set up if we need it. Check earlier threads on Humpty Dumpty for more info.

I have to say, this smells of alphabet soup poisoning. Why don't you guys go watch the russians and osama and leave us the hell alone.

Noticed the "Deleted" thread is the only TB2000 still up... somethings fishy here...

I think all you need to do to get on the onelist mailing list is to send a blank message to: TB2000-Alternate-subscribe@onelist.com If you want to read the archives or read posts from the website rather than from email, then you may need to register.

-- Danny (dcox@ix.netcom.com), December 29, 1999.

You need to register if you want to post, or to receive the traffic via email.

I left the web archives open to non-subscribers for the sake of expediting information flow in these last closing hours of the year.

Unfortunately, the web archives are only posted when a digest goes out, so there's a fair (or unfair[g]) amount of latency. If you want to receive updates as they roll in, you'll need to subscribe, and set your options to Email (as opposed to Digest or Web-only).

One other caveat: they're shutting down their administrative site for a while (hopefully it will come back up again). The mailing list will still operate, but you won't be able to subscribe or change your options while the website is down.

Here's what they sent me:
