An apology to all TB2000ers & Lisa...

greenspun.com : LUSENET : TimeBomb 2000 (Y2000) : One Thread

To all...

I am posting here to tell you that I did something I now truly regret. Actually a few things...

In my excitement with the event over the last few days, I inadvertently made a thread here and posted a link over that thread over on Lisa's forum. It was to rally support for Lisa to continue working on a secure site for us.

I really didn't realize what I did - that's why I kept saying that I didn't post the URL. It did not dawn on me until I saw Lisa post a reply here into the same thread that perhaps I *DID* do the deed. I e-mailed her and claimed "I didn't do it! I didn't do it!"

After much thought, I finally realize that I DID DO IT! How could I be so foolish?? How stupid could I be?? I sent another e-mail to Lisa apologizing about what I've done. I did not realize that her e-mail system was down at the time...

In that thread I tried to defend her from Interested@crashes.com where he/she was implying that Lisa was responsible for the crash. I did not know that it was a different Lisa.. Again my apologies...

I then got Lisa's posts and assumed that it was trolling - it sure didn't sound like Lisa. In my arrogance I challenged her to e-mail me, since I was SURE it was a troll. At the time, I really didn't know what she was talking about - posting the URL. Well, I am arrogant no longer... Again my humble apologies...

I realize that Lisa and her staff has spend an enormous amount of time and effort on our part, and that a foolish mistake and arrogant pride has resulted in additional work for her and her staff...

I make no excuses for this... It's too late for excuses... I am truly sorry and I hope that all of you can forgive me...
