MB Dealer manuals

greenspun.com : LUSENET : benzclassifieds : One Thread

I have quite a few older MB manuals I don't need and I'm perhaps some of these may be of interest to list memebers. These are dealership manuals, not available, I understand, to the general public. All are spiral bound and in reasonably good, but used, condition. I don't know what they are worth, but I will present them here. Make me a reasonable offer if interested. Leftovers go on eBay over the next few weeks and i'll just keep what doesn't sell. I will throw none out; they are just too good to toss.

1. "Workshop Manual Type 600 The Grand Mercedes" The first section covers K 4 C 025 and K 4 B 050 automatic transmissions; dissassebly and reassembly. The second section deals specifically with the 600 and the M100.1 engine. Dated 11/72, KD 00 102 2109 05.

2. "Workshop Manual Clutches - Transmissions" Four sections; clutch and pedal assembly, manual transmission, automatic transmission, and propeller shaft. Models covered are the 107, 114, 115, 116. Automatic transmissions include (1) K 4 A 040 (107,108, 109, 111), (2) the W 3 A 040 and W 3 B 050 (also known as the 722.0) for 107, 108, 109, and 116, (3) the K 4 C 025 (722.2) found in the 114s, and (4) the W 4 C 025 (722.1) found in 114, 115, 116, and early 123. This covers complete dissassembly and reassembly of all components. This is rare and hard to get. Dated 1971, but includes various revsions up to 1975, KD 00 102 21 12 00.

3. "Service Manual Maintenance, tuning, Unit Replacement. Diesel Engines OM 636 and OM 621" This manual has 10 sections and includes dissassembly and reassembly of engine. Date 8/68, KD 00 102 2106 01.

4. "Repair Manual - Passenger cars starting 1968 - series 108-115, volume 1" This manual covers models 200/8 - 300SEL/8 and is not comprehensive, that is, it covers transmission and rear axle only. However, it contains a very detailed description including complete dissassembly and reassembly. Dated 10/68 with revisions into the 70s, KD 00 102 2109 00.

5. "Service Manual - Passenger Cars Starting 1968, Series 114-115 . Maintenance, Tuning, Unit Replacement, Volume 1" This is a very large manual, 2.5 inches thick with occasional grease smudges on pages, but it is complete and very usable. Quoting from the first page, "This service manual now contains only descriptions of assembly, adjusting, and inspections jobs for groups 0-24 (engine), 25, 27, 29/30, 40, 15/54/82 and 67 to 98 (body) of vehicles up to August, 1973. Groups 26, 32, 33, 35, 41, 42, 46 and 83 (air conditioning) were completely revised and included in Unit Manuals". Dated 5/74. Because of my 75 240D, I'm not sure I want to part with this one.
