Hallo,we had a rollover without any problems near Munic. Electricity and telecom are ok. Our LAN is running, now we try to connect our host. Good luck to all others! Toni Schmid

Toni,Can you give us a report on the status of your LAN over the next few days? What kind of applications are you running?
Danke,
Critt

Hallo Critt,
we are a small, regional banking-organization with about 10 servers running IBM OS/2 Warp 3. Connected to a host of our bavarian-wide computing-center with IBM mainframes.
We are located in Erding (Airport Munich, Erdinger Weissbier, do you know?). Our LAN consists of about 120 workstations running OS/2 Warp 3 in Token Ring topology and WANs connected across ISDN-leased-lines. Today was our first labour-day and we encountered no problems related to y2k, except an small, uncorrect date-display in Lotus 1-2-3 V. 5, the program itself handles the date correct.
Our financial applications are running trouble-free until now. In the first half hour of new year our GSM-net was terribly overcrowded, but this was normal at that time and was predicted by the providers. No other problems related to y2k i got reported til now.
Servus from Bavaria
Toni
