Relay teams web page.

At Mook's request, I've created a web page devoted to the Orienteer Kansas 2000 Relay Teams.

I was delighted to be acknowledged as the inspiration for Spike's new web site. I don't exactly remember suggesting anything of the sort, but am pleased that Spike saw fit to creating the web site.

It would be intriguing if Spike also saw fit to creating links from his web site to the diaries of other OK relay team members who are currently keeping such diaries. I was reading Gene's diary just the other day and found his discussion of hill training quite useful.

This evening I added a link from the relay page to a USGS map of Wachussett Mountain State Reservation. Apparently, Wachussett Mountain is near the meet site (NEOC's web page suggests the Wachussett map will be used for the event, but NEOC's advertisement in the latest ONA says the event will be at High Ridge Wildlife Management Area).

Today I added an article on relay tactics. The article was written by a top Swedish orienteer named Klas Karlsson and was translated (a bit roughly) by yours truly.

Klas Karlsson is an IKHP O' dude, by the way. I do not think he aspires to become an OKer, especially since the OK bullar record to date has been rather unsatisfactory.

Last night I added a new link to a feature of the relay page that is sure to get a lot of traffic -- Mook's training diary.
