A question for Phil Greenspun or Sysops?

greenspun.com : LUSENET : TimeBomb 2000 (Y2000) : One Thread

Realizing that so many problems were created just before the end of the year with folks (or disrupters?) using robots to download every link or post on this site. I recognized I, also, would love to have all of the insightful and amazingly cognitive posts that have accrued in the archives. (I wouldn't want to cause any problems using this type of software myself).

Is there any way you might backup this info to a CD Rom disc or two, use a CD duplicating service and offer them at a price. I would willingly shell out money to have something like this.

I could never find the time to review 300,000 or so threads or posts (not sure which, this number is based on) that have been discussed here. Love to have an archive source to peruse, down the line, though. If it's possible, consider me in!!! Just a thought.

Anyone else feel the same way?

Count me in, and name the price! Ditto for the Prep forum.

I remember when Greenspun brought up this new server (notice we are now on hv.greenspun.com) he mentioned that he will be creating down loadable files.

Looking in the archives I found that he has done this as of 31.12.1999. See:

static archives (in ZIP format) available
