pimento peppers

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Countryside : One Thread

I am looking for seeds for the flat heirloom pimentos. I had a crop failure and can't find these seeds anywhere. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks, Rich

I don't know exactly which kind of flat pimentos you're looking for, as there are quite a few varieties that are flattened. I grow a nice one I got from Stokes Seed called "Super Red". It's a 70 day variety that matures red. It's pretty good sized, about 5" x 2 1/2", thick walled and very sweet. Also, you might try to find that type of pimento through a seed swap in one of the gardening magazines, like National Gardening. They have a nice on-line swap. If you'd like, I could send a few seeds to you to try. If you're interested. e-mail me and let me know. hannahholly@hotmail.com
