Spelling? WHO CARES ABOUT SPELLING? :)

"Got tuna fish? Gonna eat it? When? Got RECIPES?"

Go to the NEXT thread to find out a bit more:

We are just starting to rock and roll.

We are normal folks who have just lived through the first phase of a "very interesting time" (as the Chinese say).

Blessings!

And--churchorganist,

Wasn't that amazing?

I thought so, at least.

The cats get all the tuna fish.

Will split up all canned goods with a cousin who lives on a small SS check and my daughter's family....a 3 way split.

We are eating the short term stuff and I will keep the long term stuff (4-5 year shelf life). Will keep 3 or 4 weeks of water (with rotation) for the rest of my life.

The small amount of gold and silver will still be in my firesafe box for the duration.

Cash will go back into circulation a little at a time.

Most equipment items will be placed on my 5 acres of desert land.....purchased 4 months ago...which my disabled cousin has just moved onto.

I will give some things to charity and sell some at the swapmeet.

I got a good feeling from knowing that I was ready to help my family survive...on the chance Y2k was BAD. Now it feels good to realize it was not that bad.

It was my passtime to research and prepare and I will now devote my extra time to making my country land a safe haven for whatever comes down the pike in the future.

If there was any gallows humor in my previous prep period it was my telling my neighbors that they sure did look plump and tasty. Some began their own preps!

I will hang on to my preps. In No. Ca. we have to worry about floods and earthquakes so I like having extra stuff in the cuboard. I will never go back to JIT shopping again.

We should note that something good came out of the web...people being able to post the serious, the sublime, the humorous and yes, the STUPID thoughts that were part of our world and yet come together and meet each other both in cyber and physical space. I have met perhaps fifteen folks via cyber and five through current and future meetings this coming year. Despite certain deranged types, most of us would say we had a productive and thought provoking time here. We helped each other find each other when we had the on and off board problem! We just didn't think to schedule a private board for spelling admonishments!

I feel good about all the preps I did and we're going to keep a rotating pantry from now on. Nothing we bought will go to waste, will have lots of fun camping this summer with the equipment we'd have never indulged in otherwise. We've grown and learned a lot together as a family and I feel I've met a lot of good, sensible people here at the forums. Tiara
