Ok, so nothing much happened at the rollover. Is that an understatement or what? So anyway the wife says to me well lets start cooking with all that storage food. Well, I go downstairs into the basement and start looking through all the cases of #10 cans. Most of this stuff I recognize.....corn, beans, red beans, white beans, wheat, rice.....germade?

What the heck is germade? I mean this almost sounds sinister like something to help germs. Is this something used in bioweapons research or what?

Well here is this uninteresting #10 can with a sinister sounding name looking at me....maybe I should just open it and check.....maybe not.

So I decide to do a little research. Maybe its just a name that Im unfamiliar with. Unabridged Oxford Dictionary....nothing. Well it might not be there after all cooking is somewahat specialized area. Joy of Cooking, both old and new editions....nothing. Betty Crocker, 60s edition.....germs.....no germade. This is getting serious.

Im starting to wonder about all those conspiracy theorists, maybe they were right and TPTB were out to get us by shipping this sinister stuff to all us preppers. Just slip it in.....they wont know what hit them after they open the can.

Now some of you know that I work in a lab. So I think to myself......Ive got access to level 3 containment facilities. Ill just take it to work and open it there under the triple filter virus isolation area. Now wouldnt want to do this during the week and look like the idiot that I probably am. After all its just some harmless food.....isnt it?

So I slip into the lab on the weekend. So far so good just the usual weekend crew and theyre all busy in the chemistry section. No one in microbiology section. Number 10 can and can opener in brown paper bag. Gloves on and #10 can isolated in triple filter viral hood.

Here my paranoia took a turn for the worse. It occurred to me that instead of a bioweapon maybe this was a chemical weapon! Of course it would be just like "them" to mislead us like that! Hmmmm. Nerve agent? So I look around the lab. Theres the selfcontained breathing unit. Kind of like scuba set with a full face mask. Supposed to be used in case someone is overcome by fumes from chemical spill. Perfect! That combined with a thick plastic apron....

What do you say when the lab administrator walks in and sees you in a mask, scuba tank, rubber gloves, plastic apron, sitting in front of the viral hood with a can of.....cream of wheat!
