Lens filter size?

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Large format photography : One Thread

I bought used a Rodenstock Sironar-N 1:5.6 135 mm MC lens. By my very imprecise measurement, the filter thread diameter appears to be either 39 mm. or 40.5 (probably the latter). Can anyone confirm the size of the filter thread on this lens or point me to a database where I could find such information? Thanks for any help.

Douglas,

my Rondenstock catalogue shows 40.5x0.5 filter thread.

Yes, 40.5 appears to be the size. Check out the website at http://www.rodenstockoptics.com/viewcam_index.htm There's a chart that should help.

And my 40.5 to 49mm step-up ring fits perfectly on my Caltar II-N 135/ 5.6 (same lens). Looks unanimous. Excellent lens, by the way.
