'Millennium bug' hits aircraftA SUSPECTED millennium bug fault has struck a British Airways jet. The Boeing 777, en route to Dubai from London, was stranded on the runway at Heathrow yesterday after the cockpit computer crashed and defied attempts to restart it. BA said the incident was just a glitch. Up to 200 passengers waited for five hours before the aircraft was replaced with another Boeing 777.

Thanks to TB2000
Caution - this may not be a Y2K problem. I've flown on 777s many times and they seem to have more than your average computer problems.

Questions. Are you a 777 pilot or flight crew member ?
Disagree with "glitch" (y2k or not) for computer problem that "defied" all attempts for five (5) hours, just for a simple reboot.

I am not a pilot or crew member, just a high mileage traveler.
