Been waiting to see some report of the PLC failure which shut off water to one tower at Tacoma Sheraton Hotel on New years rollover causing circulating pump to run dry and burn up. No water meant that part of hotel had to be evacuated. No news means you aint hearing about Y2K failures folks unless you happen to be the one immediately impacted by the failure. Things are happening all over but nobody's talking about them.

This was caused by a Y2K bug in the PLC.

thanks for the report. not to jeopardize your job or anything (because hopefully it is a large enough place and you are not the only computer person there) but do you work there, is this how you know?
