Does anyone know where I can download a Garden planner type program off the Web? I saw one sometime ago, but can't remember the name of it.

Right off hand, I can't think of any. Have you tried searching with the following words- garden plan software download ? Depending on the engine you're using, you might have to add either AND or + between the words. Also throw in free if that's what you want. Jeeves is usually pretty good, but I haven't been there since the rollover.

There may be something at this site, but it is one of those that I can't navigate without loading images. That sends my computer off into lala land. You might try garden.com. I don't know if you can download the software, but you can use their planner and keep your info there. Hope this helps.

I have 4 software programs I recommend, & 3 can be downloaded, 2 in demo form, & 1 free one to use online. My favorite is The Gardener's Notepad. The downloadable version is fully functional. You just have to register it to keep using it after 30 days. It's more of a diary/journal type info for seeds, weather, etc. It's available from www.mccullumsoftware.com Sprout! is another program highly recommended. This is similar to a Paint program which helps you layout your garden on a grid/graph. You can also input info on varieties, planting dates etc. It is downloadable in a demo form from www.abracadata Another one is The Square Foot Gardener, which is more extensive than the first 2 programs. It also costs a bit more. It follows the popular Square Foot gardening books. I still haven't ordered the full version-I really like the G. Notepad & Sprout, don't want to over do it. Although, it may prove more helpful in my market garden. Anyway, you can download a freeware version at www.ctsi.net/~texan If you don't want to spend any money, just experiment a bit, there's a free garden planner at garden.com. It's very simple, and breaks you in to what garden software can do. It's available at www.garden.com. You have to sign up then click on planner. Hope this helps!
