West Virginia, need confirmation on power...? (radio call-in gave negative report)greenspun.com : LUSENET : TimeBomb 2000 (Y2000) : One Thread |
Heard on radio that West VA is still running on back-up power, and they hope to repair main before spring (March) cause they don't expect the back-up to last past spring. That is all of the details from the radio caller. Is their anyone here from West VA that can confirm/deny legitimacy of report, and region/plant(s) involved if any?

Hay Hokie Neighbor,I'm in the Central Eastern mountain area, served by Allegheny Power.
Haven't had even a little variation here, you heard that we are on
"back-up" power huh. May be, I didn't know about it. Anyway, I'm ready
if it goes down.
Please tell more of what you heard.

Hi:My father works in a plant here on the Ohio River in West Virginia. There have been no signs of power problems since rollover, although a few right before. As far as he understands, our power is just fine. That, however, would not rule out other parts of the state.
