I have a client who is in recovery.I am an addictions counselor.She reports a high level of verbal abuse between her and her s/o .He recently contacted me and told me I only hear one side of the story reports my client still drinks,she denies this all bac and ua are negative for past 9 mnths.They have had one incident with police intervention because argument became violent.I have encouraged her to leave but she has no family and is having difficulty accepting the need to enter a shelter.Also we are in suffolk county and I have been having difficulty finding resources.How can I help her to help herself?She has one child 9 years old.
