i dreamt that: i was about 18 years old, walking around my town (mine in the old days) and noticed across the creek which runs through town, a new, small shopping mall. i walked to the bridge, crossed and slowly made my puzzled way. going into the area it seemed that they were arranged as an aisle (shops on each side), i looked in each shop as i ambled through, nice lit up signs but nothing in the windows. as i moved further i even tried a door or two. they were open, i went in, no wares, no sales people. frustrated, i kept going find the same thing at every shop. as i moved on, i could see that there was an end to the mall and it was closed at that end with shops across the aisle. i inspected every shop, looking for merchandise and - or sales people. down at this end the lights were blazing brilliantly in all the shops, but no results. at the end building i saw a sign over one door which said, "office," it was also lit up, still there was no one in the office. i turned to leave and the door was no longer there, it was just a blank wall. i stood there for a minute and said to myself, "this is as far as i go, then it got black. end of dream had i been following the path of my life from old town to and through the new shops ? i don't know but it seems a to be a good explanation, especially as i stood there and made that calm observation, "this is as far as i go." but it was very strange to me on awakening the next morning.

Well, my strangest dream tonight was movie-length and involved spying out and preparing to destroy the (fairly large) human colony on Mars. The funny thing is that one of my coworkers was my sidekick, and another was the leader of the Mars colony. :) -The strangest dreams of all times must be in my childhood when I dreamt that I was completely surrounded by giant intestines, unable to move. But that was a fever dream. -I often dream about magic ... flying, teleporting, telekinesis, conjuring. Stuff like that. Despite this, I continue to like fantasy literature and games, so I guess there goes your hypothesis. :)

I've had about a dozen dreams where I'm lost, naked, or about to miss a plane because I can't find the airport. Other dreams have me spinning in a car out of control for many seconds, but never hitting anything.

I dreamed about my mother. She died in December and in the dream I saw her standing in my driveway. I went up to her because I knew that she was dead and had come to see me because she had a message for me. She gave me the message and I understood the message. I do remember that it didn't pertain to a family issue that I have been dealing with since her death, but with something else. I can only hope that when the time comes that I need the information she gave me, I will remember it. It also proves to me that if I need her, she is still there for me.

My oddest but most favorite dream was driving in a car with some friends from high school when I saw Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid (actually Paul Newman and Robert Redford) up on the roof of a house. I yelled "stop the car!" got out and flew up to meet them and they asked me if I wanted to go with them. The answer was a hearty "Yes" and off we three flew! Could I please have that dream again.
