Hokie, I usually regard your posts with the utmost respect, but my respect for you just did an about face (like you care, right). You're labeling Peg a troll based on one sentence? If you thought this thread was so bad, then why in heavens did you post here? Really Hokie, I thought you were above this. I have a 15-year old who acts more mature than most of you "adults", and I use the term loosely.

Why all this bickering, judging, dog-piling, ganging up and packing on people. If this is a sample of our society, I am very afraid.

I think everyone should read "Lord of the Flies". That is what this forum sometimes reminds me of. Or how about the Salem Witch Hunt. Sould we burn Peg at the stake?

What if Gary North or Ed Yourdon were expelled from the country for speaking their minds and standing up to the bullies of our government and society? This country was began by people courageously standing up against opression and for what they believe is right. So I'll take it as a compliment.

Sorry, Peg, you seem to be under a misapprehension. The way this forum works, is that if you are totally in the wrong, like Yourdon, Heller, Jones, Lord, Milne, etc, etc, then there is NEVER a need to apologize, as you are far too busy taking credit for saving civilization. On the other hand, if you happen to have at least a passing familiarity with reality, well then of course you don't get an apology, in fact, YOU should be offering one. You have some nerve being sensible. Why can't you be gullible like everyone else anyway? And this business of being capable of independent thought - Peg, that's lower than low.

So Peg, if you want to post on this board, please keep your rationality to yourself. Loosen up. Start a thread about the moon being made of cheese. Or that everyone within five miles of 7-11 will turn into a large marshmallow. And most of all, be real serious about it, if there is one thing that does not belong on TB2000, it's a sense of humour.
