What's the deal with this Cuban kid?greenspun.com : LUSENET : Jan : One Thread |
I seriously haven't been following this story too closely. Do you guys have opinions?

I think the child should return to Cuba, to his surviving parent. I have no idea why this is a political argument, and why the family is so crazed. Yes, Cuba is perhaps not the nicest place on earth, but hey.. neither is NY state, right?

He should go back to Cuba. This whole game of turning the poor boy into a politcal pawn is repulsive.

Return to sender. I respect the fact that his mother died trying to get him out of a bad place, but that's really not the issue... he should be with his family.

OK, so my question is, if all you guys agree with me, does that mean that:1) People who read my page tend to agree with each other, or
2) the people who think the kid should stay in this country are in the extreme minority? Just a thought.

Here's a good editorial on "modern-day child exploitation."For those of you not in the Bay Area, Xiana Fairchild is a 7-yr-old girl who disappeared Dec.7 in Vallejo, and her mother and mother's boyfriend have been continually lying to police and misleading reporters ever since. Sad story.

Anyways, I thought this was a good editorial.
