Old UPI photos

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Dirck Halstead : One Thread

Anyone have an idea how to find some pictures UPI used of mine in the 1960's? So far UPI isn't of much help and it's been sold a few times and they claim they don't have much for records of who took what photos etc. Email any advice. darrell@plusp.com

I believe that I have numerous old UPI photos, many of which should be from the 1960s. I am actually thinking about posting them on an auction site, but will wait to hear from you.

In the meantime, I will try to find out if there is a way to identify the date the photos were transmitted. I obtained them while working at a local television station; the tv station people were throwing them out as part of a housecleaning operation.

All, or darn near all of the photos show age, or so I think. They are turning brown. I have kept them out of the light, but I wonder if moisture - even a slight amount from the air - may cause deterioration of quality.
