Hi I just bought a Kodak DC240 and it seems to have just locked up while turned on sitting on my desk. The thing is dead, with the zoom lens barrel extended. I recall reading some similar messages about a 'hangup' problem with this camera. Anyone got any ideas what causes this and how to prevent it?

Maybe weak, almost-dead batteries? Try with a fresh set. I own this model & have heard plenty about "F16 bug" on various boards but never anything about a lockup problem. -bruce
