MaleCare (New York City) presents: Dr. David Agus of Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center, speaking on "The Failure of Hormone Therapy: Treating Androgen-Dependent and Independent Prostate Cancer."

Dr. Agus is the lead researcher of a study to determine why therapies that block the production of testosterone ultimately fail to prevent a recurrence of prostate cancer. In a separate laboratory study, he researched the effectiveness of a monoclonal antibody called Herceptin and a chemotherapy drug called Taxol.

Wednesday, February 9, at 6 PM, Beth Israel Medical Center 10 Union Square East, between 14th and 15th Street in Manhattan. Second Floor Auditorium.
