Has anyone heard or read about the "Lean Manufacturing" or "Lean Enterprise" concept? Can anyone recommend a good resource that I could use? Thanks in advance.

Steve, there is a ton of information on Lean Manufacturing. The best resource for a quick overview, get a copy of "Lean Thinking" by Womack from Amazon.com. Get the tapes. There are two of them, and they contain most of what's in the book.

I used to have an outstanding employee named Steve Hill working for me at Rohr. Would you be that Steve Hill?

Hope my answer helped.

The company I work for has started the Lean enterprise road recently and TBM consultants seem to be a very useful tool to use, to initiate the process of change within a manufacturing industry. They are not the cheapest but seem to be one of the best consultants world wide on this subject and promise to return your money if you are not entirely satisfied with them. They are at least worth making a call to.
