Here is one from the "hawk" of StinkAss2000 fame:

I can't wait for Y2K to start screwing things up. I'm going to do a lot of laughing next year. If the pollys are rude enough to laugh and ridicule those who calmly and faithfully follow their instincts, then I am sure as hell rude enough to laugh my ass of when they start tripping out. This is gonna be fun! -- Hawk (flyin@high.again), November 14, 1999.

"The good news? You (and all the other pollyannas who have your head stuck in the sand) will stop consuming valuable resources, like air." - Steve Heller

-- THE Exposer (shining@light.onfrauds), December 27, 1999.

He's a real idiot and a menace to society. My only regret about his imminent awakening to reality is that I won't be able to see his face when he realizes that he was "dead wrong". -- Steve Heller (stheller@koyote.com), December 15, 1999.

-- THE Exposer (shining@light.onfrauds), December 27, 1999.

It's pathetic. We warn them. They don't listen. We pray for them. They remain asleep.

May our Living God have mercy on the idiots.

Attention all overweight people:

Don't stress out! Your blubber will sustain you when the governmental rations run out.

Sheesh. Get a grip on your love handles...

Tell them (if you choose to tell them anything) that you TOO have the Lord... and you were told to prepare.

But I agree... the time for this is past. Best to keep quiet now.

Darwin's law is Y2K compliant. Won't be long now.

-- THE Exposer (shining@light.onfrauds), December 27, 1999.

The great mass of people are, and have been, carried by the relatively few who can think ahead for at least a planting or hunting season. Without genetics (note to Christians: evolution) that selected for at least a few people in each tribe to think ahead (OR ELSE) we would still be hunter gatherers being selected for or against by the ability to see the necessity to at least get out of the way of the glaciers.

-- A (A@AisA.com), November 21, 1999.

You're right A! That is so true. It's like we have the ability to actually visualize the image in our minds of something in the distant future. Most people don't think more than a week or two in advance, they make plans, but they don't form an image of what it will be like. We are the ancestors of the primates that invented the wheel, while everyone else just stood around wondering what the hell they were doing! That's it! :-)

-- THE Exposer (shining@light.onfrauds), December 27, 1999.

Oh gawd yes, the Cult of Doom thinks they are just SOOOOoooo much wiser or smarter than anyone else on the face of the planet...they make me laugh!

Here is one:

The only good thing about a really severe Y2K is knowing that all these smug, sneering, "superior" creeps will be getting it rammed right up their exhaust pipes.

-- cody (cody@y2ksurvive.com), December 13, 1999.

-- Super Polly (FU_Q_Y2kfreaks@hotmail.com), December 27, 1999.

On one of the famous "cannabalism" threads so common to Timebomb2000 we see a lovely statement from Paul Milne:

Anybody got good recipes?

If they do, email them to me.

Now I can thank God for marauders. Walking steaks!

-- Paul Milne (fedinfo@halifax.com), February 18, 1999.

Gag! One sick puppy, that Milne....Ack!

-- Exposing the Deathlovers (for@ll.the.world to see), December 27, 1999.

Now, is it true that human flesh tastes like pork or is that just an old wives' recipe? If so, can we call it "the other white meat nobody talks about?" Do vegetarians taste different to non-veggies?

-- THE Exposer (bringing@light.2dimbulbs), January 11, 2000.

"6.) How will you feel towards the Pollys if Y2K turns out like you expect?

Compassion ... enough to help out my community and neighbors, to the best of my limited abilities.

Extreme sadness ... for their "eyes closed" mentality and inability to see global impact potentials on local livelihoods.

Resolve ... to see that never again, are we ruled by denial and fear, but welcome openness, truth, tolerance and honesty.

7.) How will you feel towards the Pollys if Y2K turns out to be a bump in the road?

Compassion ... that they cant see beyond their own limitations, nor learn greater lessons.

Gratitude ... for all the massive hard work put in by programmers, organizers, emergency managers, etc. (By "clutter clearing" the code and going through the contingency planning process, they will have all contributed to a stronger, more resilient, more self and other "aware" interdependent world).

Hope ... that they do as well (i.e. "get lucky" or get prepared) for the next natural or manmade disaster (including upcoming California earthquakes, et. al.).

8.) Who are the most despised and respected persons on this forum?

The word "despised" is inappropriate. The most "annoying" are the disruptive troll-types.

Most respected ... the whole Yourdonite research team ... working, and laughing, together!!! (Along with Kevins awesome links).

You should probably just put the link up to the original thread

It makes more sense than a re-post of a re-post of a post, don't you think?
