What to do with this?

Well, kids, do you have your own email address? If you do, post it here.

First, type your first name and only the first initial of your last name. Then type your teacher's name. Then type your email address.

When you're finished, it will look like this one:

Elizabeth B.

Mrs Weckman

WizGrl103@aol.com

After you've posted your email address, we'll turn it into a hotlink that will look like this:

WizGrl103@aol.com

Then, you'll be able to send email to your friends and classmates, by simply clicking on their email addresses. For example, you can invite them to chat with you right here on this forum!

Have fun!

:)

Hi Joshua! Your "Hotlinked" email address is:

Joshua Holliday in Mrs. Schaaf's Class

Thanks for checking in! (With your mother's permission, of course!)

Hi Joshua and John,

Just a small post-script here: Elizabeth (Mrs. Weckman's class) has a restriction on the addresses from which she can receive email.

I'm going to go over right now (February 21, 2000) and put you on her "acceptable email" list.

I'm posting this message, not only for you, but for all the kids--and certainly their parents--who may navigate this forum in the months to come.

Because I spent most of my adult life as a television news reporter, I know how important it is to be careful on the Internet.

I'm going to be careful for you, but always remember that you must be careful too!

:)
