Centralized distribution system fails, company files for bankruptcy

greenspun.com : LUSENET : TimeBomb 2000 (Y2000) : One Thread

I'm "html challenged." Perhaps someone could help me out and make this into a link.

http://biz.yahoo.com/rf/000217/bj4.html

The article says:

the company said the development and implementation of a centralized distribution system failed, substantially increasing fixed costs and causing deterioration of delivery lead times.

I can't find out any other information on this company anywhere on the net.

Joanne

For the first time ever I saw signs on shelves in a grocery story today saying their distribution centre was having problems. This, in spite of the fact the shelves were quite full. Yet, last week the same store had some noticeably empty shelves because of a power outage. Unusual events, both.
