What happened to the kids?

I totally loved the episode and Dr. Weaver and Dr. Romamno were heartbreaking. It was so emotional to see their walls being smashed down, but I was a little curious all episode long, what happened to the 2 orphaned kids from the last episode? I hope they came back to them and let us see what happened. A little closure would be nice.

But that's how it is in the ER... you don't get closure on everything. There is no reason for the people in the ER to know what happened to the kids. That's one of the problems Carter originally had with working in the ER... he wanted to follow up more, so he went to surgery. Then he realized his heart really was in the ER, so he went back. But there is no logical reason we should ever see those kids again. Think this way... if you lost a family member in the ER, would you go back to the ER later on to let them know how you were doing, how you were getting along?

I think the thing is that it's the SAME night, technically, and we never saw a family member pick the kids up or anything...it is kind of frutrating, but I was too busy yelling at Kerry to OPEN THAT DOOR!!!! to pay attention to anything else really...

We should have closure with characters that we know, though, and I hope that the writers don't blow the possible resurrection of a recently lifeless show (that deserves so much better) by switching the focus to characters who don't hold the place in our hearts that Carter, Green, Benton, etc., do...

I know that's the way it is in the ER, but I like closure on TV! The time this drove me most crazy was when the guy shot his family and left them out in the car. The car alarm kept going off. Carol realized what he'd done and ran out to help. I think that was the end of last season and they NEVER went back to them. NEVER!
