Hey, think about this hacker thing.

greenspun.com : LUSENET : MR2 : One Thread

Usually I'm not the type to point fingers, but think about this:

1)The hacker must've known about the board.

2)The hacker must've had grudges against people at the board. Remember, the e-mail address at the password screen says "ha, ha". (Or maybe he did it for sick fun.)

3)The hacker must know html quite well.

Remember Jiggypuff? He had quite a knowledge about HTML, as we could see when he did that "Fake Format" program. And he did know about the board. And he DID have grudges, for people kept telling him to lay off the pokemon stuff. In conclusion, I suspect Jiggypuff. I tried to be his friend, but now, if he did do it, well.... THE HACKER MADE ME LOSE RYS! *SOB*! I WANT RYS BACK! DEATH TO THE HACKER! BURN! BURN THE WITCH! BURN HIM (Or her)! I SHALL FEED HIS CHILDREN TO HUNGRY LIONS! AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG! (Just venting out my frustrations.)

What's up Celious, besides not being at B's Board, this does suck there was alot of good facts there and the only thing i can figure out is that it was one of the people B gave his admin password because you have the option to make it public or private. But that does suck i saved the ULTIMATE MEHTOD in my favorites and a screen came up saying it was deleted. so i guess i have the MR2 board now but if one message was deleted i'm sure all were but perhaps some weren't deleted, that probably would take up alot of time because some messages i tried deleting on my board and it took me about ten minutes. Sorry about your story it was pretty kickass and i pretty pissed because my story was deleted along with yours and stupids. I'M SO FREAKING PISSED AT THE DUMBASS WHO PUT A PASSWORD ON B'S BOARD. GOD D***IT. F***ING A

So...are you saying,...Bloodshed....that....Rys....is...DEAD? THE HACKER KILLED RYS?! Now it's personal!!!! ::Breaks out a gun and a huge kick-ass sword:: Time to find out what happens when you mess with a lion, hacker! Laters everybody. Gonna get me a head....

Celious, go to the thread entitled "PASSWORD?!?" in the MR2 database. That's where a few of us are regrouping to take out this programming block. I have an idea about how to rid the password, but don't have the knowledge of HTML to use it. As for your characters, I regret to say that if they haven't been destroyed (I'm pretty sure taht they have, since our histories register errors when attempting to recall the data.) by the hacker, they will proabably be destroyed by through the break-in. All of the data will. The safest thing to do is to get Bennet Campbell to reinstall the original HTML coding, yet, I haven't been able to get through to him. I sent an E-mail to all of our sister sites, as well as put up postings (You'd be surprised at how many trainers thought that we'd abandoned them) to illustrate our situation. Still, once we do crack the code, I'm going to mess up Humpty Dumpties hard drive so much that he'll NEVER be able to put it together again! NOBODY MESSES WITH MY FRIENDS AND GETS AWAY WITH IT! (Sorry, now I'm venting.) I've been working at this all day, and still have found only these two ways (reference to the other threads) to stop this madness.

Scratch that! The posting is located in th Monster Rancher 2 CD List!

I think it is the ever so hated Great Googly Moogly.I think he knew about doing stuff like this. He also had the biggest grudge over everything.

speculation about who it could be is fruitless. it could easily be a complete stranger who wanted to shut down the 2d most popular board on lusenet just because.

Well, I emailed the creator of the LUSENET site that all of these boards use, and he has kind of restored B. Campbell's site. The problems are worse than the password. (Which, by the way, is now: lsisgreat - just in case anything else happens.) Now, if you click on Publisher you go to the Playboy website, and the ha.ha still appears at the end of some administrative messages. The board's structure is not quite the same, but at least most info is accessable.

thanx lisa - job well done.

Hi Celious,

When it comes to the hacking thingy, HTLM is not anything to deal with it! HTML knowledge just help to create webpages. Or to hack, there are more knowledge needed (mostly Unix, virus(trojan), etc. and also a fast connection to do the hijack thing.)

I myself have been a victim of hacker :) (he took my hotmail account and some other, but he also returned them all to me) and most hackers are very "nice", at least in the way they talk, they have an excellent skill of grammar (the hacker I encountered wasn't American)

And the way that "hacker" in B-board type his msg is like a kid (see a lot of caps.)
