Who is what?

I feel dippy for asking this, but what is the status of all the doctors right now? I'll tell you what I think and someone can correct me if I'm wrong: Mark, Kerry, Anspaugh, and Romano are full-fledged doctors. Benton, Corday, and Carter are all residents. Abby and Malucchi are med students (as was Lucy). Cleo - not sure. Did I leave anyone out? Thanks for clearing this up.

Thjs is what I think their respectives statuses are, but I really don't know anything, so I'd love to be corrected if I'm wrong.

Mark: Attending Physician ER (or 'ER doc'as Romano put it)

Kerry: Chief Attending ER

Kovac: Attending ER (I believe..otherwise Mark would not have left him in charge of the board)

Anspaugh: Surgeon, though he used to be Chief of Staff and Chief of the ER. I'm not sure what his administrative status is now. All I know is he wanted to do less of that stuff and more medicine.

Romano: Head of Surgery? something like that.

Corday: Associate Head of Surgery? appointed by Romano, so associate to whatever he is...

Benton: in his surgical residency (I don't know what year?), but considered a full-fledged doctor, but I seem to recall some bid for his fellowship which can follow a residency..oh. I don't know. He cuts people open and says, "Go, go, c'mon people.."

Carter: Resident, ER. Became a doctor in the third season so ...3d year resident? I'm not sure

Malucci: Resident. I don't know what year.

Deb (Jing Mei) Chen: Resident. She WAS in the same year as Carter but maybe 2nd or 1st year after bungling the central line and quitting for awhile.

Abby: Third year med student and damn fine OB nurse.

Lucy: She was fourth year. Would have graduated in June. sigh.

Phew. That's a lot of doctors.

Cleo: I believe she is the resident emergency pediatrician

Sorry I just remembered what Benton's status is:

He is in a fellowship, covering surgery in Trauma. He is not supposed to be doing general surgery, only those connected with the ER.

Romano is actually chief of staff now. He appointed Corday as chief (or associate chief) of surgery. Romano runs the whole hospital. He appointed Kerry as ER chief (after Mark said that he wasn't sure about Romano for chief of staff at the big meeting and Kerry didn't back him up).

All jobs should start at the beginning of season 8

Kerry: Chief of Emergency Medicine and an Attending

Mark: Attending

Luka: Attending

Susan: Was a third year resident when she left, should return as an attending

Anna: Could have been an Attending pediatrition(sp), but was becoming double-boarded in Emergency Medicine, so she was an intern

Dave: 4th year resident (I think)

Jing-Mei: Chief Resident

Carter: Attending

Doug: Pediatic Attending

Elizabeth: Associate chief Of Surgery

Romano: Chief Of Staff

Peter: Was a surgical attending, but was fired by Romano and took a 'Per Deim' job, and was later made 'Director Of Diversity'

Carol: RN

Abby: was 3rd year medical student, now an RN

Lucy: 4th year medical student at the time of her death

Jeanie: Physician Assistant

Cleo: 3rd year (?) pediatric resident

Okay, let me change that a bit. Carter: Chief Resident Jing-Mei: Attending (I think) Dave: ?

Here are the doctors, in rank order, as of Episode 8.04:

Romano: Chief of Staff Weaver: Chief of Emergency Services Corday: Associate Chief of Surgery, Attending Physician, Surgery Greene: Chief Attending Physician, ER Kovac: Attending Physician, ER Lewis: Attending Physician, ER Benton: Director of Diversity, Attending Physician, Surgery

Carter: Chief Resident, ER (CR's usually do an extra year with that title, but Carter will have the authority of an Attending when he completes his residency because he will be board-certified. Carter's residency is scheduled to complete in about three weeks, show time.)

Chen: 4th Year Resident, ER (She was chief resident, but was forced to resign by the hospital administration)

Malucci: 4th Year Resident, ER (He was fired by Weaver in Episode 8.03)

Finch: 4th Year Resident, Pediatric Emergency Medicine
