Someone please help!! I absolutely love Kelly Martin, since she was on the series "Life Goes On." I was so upset and sad that Lucy was going to be killed off. . . I cried like a dork!! Anyway I noticed that she was not given too much air time since around November. I know her character was not as developed as I would have liked but her character had sooooo much potential to be a stong presence on the show. Why did Kelly Martin leave? Was she wriiten out by her own request? If so WHY? And why did they not have more interaction with Carter and Lucy during her last moments? We all know there was a history. . .There is no better match for Carter than Lucy!!!

Yes, Kellie Martin was unhappy. She asked for a way out. She got it. As for why she wanted out, that's something you'd have to ask her, because anything anyone here might say is mostly speculation or heresay.

I heard she left because she was unhappy with her character devolepment, so she decided she wanted to go out with a gorry bang ( which she obviously did). Another reason why she wanted to leave was because her husband got a job in New York or some where and she didn't want to go through the hassle of commuting. This is all what I heard.
