Does anyone have any information about Goran Visjnic(not sure about the last name), the actor who plays Luka? i really think he is a good actor and would be intereted to know if he has been in any other movies or tv shows. i am interested to see him becoming a more well developed charater--he definitely is my favorite new character!

Erin, I know he has been in atlesat two movies but i only know what one of them is. Practical Magic, he plays Jillian's ( Nicole Kidman) insang boyfriend that her and Sally kill.

Erin, His name is Goran Visnjic (pronounced Vish-nick). He is in Practical Magic,Welcome to Sarajevo (he is wonderful in this) and in The Peacemaker with G. Clooney, but he is only in it for about two minutes. He is 27 or 28 and he is married. He is from Croatia and is a very respected actor there, especially Shaespearean theater. That's about all I know but I hope this helps!

Also, he is in a Madonna video, "Beautiful Stranger". My Croatian friend says that his last name is pronounced "Viz- NEE - itch", but the middle syllable is both short and stressed. I know that's odd but I can't really describe it. She says he has done many Croatian movies and has won all the top acting awards for film and theatre. He is best known for his dazzling performance as Hamlet when he was originally only an understudy. That's all I know!

Erin, I agree--he is my favorite new cast member too. I don't really care how his name is pronounced! From the moment Goran hit the screen I have been totally captivated. I for one am looking forward to Luka-heavy episodes.

Actually, Goran Visnjic was in the Madonna video "(The) Power of Goodbye". Not a nit-pick; just a small correction! (Mike Meyers was in "Beautiful Stranger") Either way, I still haven't seen the video. Not that VH-1 plays it these days (still waiting for "Pop-Up Video" to cover it), & I'm not sure MTV actually plays videos at all any more (they're spending all their money on "The (Un)Real World"). And since I can't stand the Material Girl for more than, oh, three seconds, I doubt I'll actually buy the compilation of her videos anyway. Frankly, I wonder how Goran got through that shoot without strangling her.

And I still haven't figured out exactly how to say his name, either. "GV" seems to come out pretty easily. "I love Luka...and (I wish) he love(d) me..." He's the best character on the show right now, IMO. Very intriguing. "Tall, dark, handsome & mysterious." Youbetcha!
