Lufthansa Grounds 26 Boeing 747-400s

FRANKFURT, Germany (AP) - German airline Deutsche Lufthansa AG grounded 26 Boeing 747-400 long-haul carriers for inspection today after discovering cracks in lines that carry firefighting agents to the turbine engines.

The problem was discovered during routine maintenance of the jumbo jets, and Lufthansa said it decided to ground all the aircraft until they have been inspected and the copper lines replaced.
