Hi Jerry and any other new posters!

My name is Eric, and I am both an old-time and new Arizonan. I went to grade school in Tucson, junior-high in Prescott, and college at ASU in Tempe. Then I took off for the Golden State to seek my fortune (in about 1971). Recently I moved back to Prescott having had enough of the Welfare State. I'm pleased to see that enough of the old Arizona is still here.

While living in Tucson in the late 50's I spent many happy weekends hiking in the Catalinas and various other places with my Dad. While going to college (1966-70) I used to hike occasionally with the Sierra Club in Phoenix and The Southern Arizona Hiking Club in Tucson. Is the SAHC still around? They were always a nice group of people.

I'm a bit out of shape right now, but would like to get back into hiking mode. Connecting with you folks might be just the incentive I need to get going.

Jerry, thanks for starting the list, and what a coincidence that I ran across it on the first day you set it up. Must be Fate.
