Mysterious Woman

Does anyone know who the woman was that came in and told Dr. Romano that the County Supervisor wanted to speak to him? It seems that it was in the middle of the night and most hospital staff not working in the patient care areas are home at that time.

I really don't know, but I assumed she was his secretary.

I assumed it was his secretary as well. She seemed quite used to his snarky ways. It wouldn't be surprising if Romano worked his secretary so hard that she had to work until the wee hours of the morning! MAybe she works the wee hours hoping she WON'T see Romano... Another explanation is that maybe she is the night clerk up in surgery. There has to be somebody, since you never know when some accident will come in the ER.

I was just thinking... Isn't is curious that we assume she is a seceratary (I thought the same at first) becasue she is a woman. What if she is a hospital administrator or VP called in in the middle of the night since ther was a murder in the ER? It's possible. It's not a large part of the story, just one of those little unexplained details. Can't wait until tomorrow night's episode!

I assumed she was hospital admin. She looked very business-like. Also, I can't imagine Romano accepting a secretary who talks back.

I don't buy that she's his secretary because she just brushed him off too well, and I can't see him giving his secretary that kind of power. Because of the events that night, police and media everywhere, my guess is that she was relatively high up in administration. Curiouser and curiouser.

Hospitals, especially those with trauma centers, are open 24 hours a day and the clerical staff works all of those hours.

admin doesnt work after bankers hours, or on weekends. not at every hospital! i worked at a hospital, that was also a trauma center. maybe at some they do.
