I found this rather amusing (and great!!) - thought I would share... I found the following on E's homepage.

TV viewers sure are a bloodthirsty lot.

Take Thursday when some 39 million of 'em tuned in to ER to watch Kellie Martin's character die after being stabbed to death by a nutty patient.

Though the episode did draw the most viewers for any regular entertainment series since 1998's Seinfeld finale, and was easily the week's No. 1 show, it was still not enough to completely overpower ABC's Who Wants to Be a Millionaire, which helped the Alphabet Network win the ratings week.
