We're up another 2.3 cents in the after hours market. Trading now at $.937 as of 5:10 pm eastern time.

WOW! That's a total of $.0744 for the day. This will hit the pumps pretty quickly on the spot market, I would think. So look for another 8% - 10% rise in prices at the pumps in the next week.

That would take regular unleaded in the Atlanta area from $1.29 up to as much as $1.41.

I imagine in other areas of the country, we could be seeing regular approach $2.00 per gallon in the weeks ahead.

Current price at the local Chevron station is: $1.65 for regular, $1.85 for premium.

Those who grinned when told of coming $2-3 per gallon prices this year are no longer smiling!

Regular unleaded went down to $ 1.54 gal. today here. (NE Ohio) I don't expect this trend to continue, though.
